EAST PRAIRIE, MO (KFVS) -

An East Prairie woman was arrested over the weekend after an assault and narcotics investigation in Mississippi County.

Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore says the investigation began last week when deputies were sent to a home in Whiting to investigate a possible assault.

When they arrived, deputies learned from the complainants that Kimberly Dawn Woodworth, 39, had come onto the property without permission and used her vehicle to sling gravel.

The incident caused minor injuries to one person and significant damage to a nearby vehicle.

The next evening, deputies located Woodworth and conducted a traffic stop on her vehicle.

During the stop, officials found two baggies of methamphetamine in her possession.

Woodworth was arrested and taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center.

An interview conducted later by officials led them to believe Woodworth had used her vehicle to throw rocks at the complainants, and knowingly possessed the drugs inside her vehicle.

Woodworth is charged with possession of a controlled substance and property damage.

She is also charged with trespassing and assault.

Brown was jailed in the Mississippi County Detention Center with bond set at $25,000.
