63-year-old woman killed in mobile home fire near Advance

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

The Stoddard County coroner reports a woman was killed in an overnight fire near Advance.

Dispatchers say the fire broke out at a mobile home on County Road 232 near Highway BB. The fire department was called around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Janet Kay Stephens, 63, died in the fire. She was pronounced dead by the Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope at 1 a.m.

Stephens' cause of death has not been determined.

An autopsy is set for Thursday in Farmington.

No foul play is suspected.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
