STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Poplar Bluff man will spend the next 15 years in prison for violating his probation.

Howard Lee Bailey was convicted in 2008 on a drug charge in Stoddard County and was ordered to serve in the Long Term Treatment Program in the Department of Corrections.

Court documents show he was released from the program in January 2010 and was placed on probation.

Bailey violated the terms of that probation several times in 2011, and was placed back in the Long Term Treatment Program in the Department of Corrections and was released again September 2012.

Court documents show Bailey again violated the terms of his probation in 2013 and was ordered to participate in the Institutional Treatment Center in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

According to Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Russ Oliver, because of Bailey’s numerous violations since his last release from the Department of Corrections, his probation has been revoked.

He will now serve his full 15 year sentence.
