Murphsyboro man injured in crash, charged with DUI

WASHINGTON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Murphysboro man was injured Saturday afternoon in a single-car crash in Washington County.

Officials say Phillip D. Miller, 42, was traveling west bound on Illinois Route 15 at Highline Road at around 4 p.m.

Phillips lost control of his car and exited the outside of the curve.

Once it left the roadway it rolled multiple times, coming to rest in a field.

Miller received major injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

He has been charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

The car received major damage and had to be towed from the scene.
