JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KFVS) -

All state government buildings in Missouri are flying their flags at half-staff on Friday in honor of a State Trooper who was killed in the line of duty last month.

Governor Jay Nixon issued the order on Tuesday to remember Trooper James M. Bava, 25, who was killed in a car accident in Audrain County on August 28.

Under Gov. Nixon's order, both the U.S. and Missouri flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Friday.

Funeral services for Trooper Bava will also be held Friday.
