Deer in road causes rear-end crash in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A driver trying to avoid hitting a deer got hit from behind by another car instead.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department reports the accident happened near the intersection of US 45 and Krebs Station at about 8:15 Monday night.

Deputies say Jeff Adams, 47, of Hickory, slowed his GMC pickup to avoid hitting a dear on US 45.

Investigators say Alice Taylor, 73, of Mayfield, was driving a 2006 PT Cruiser behind Adams, and was unable to slow enough in time, and hit Adams' truck from behind.

EMS crews transported Taylor to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries she suffered in the crash.
