Drivers needed for September Cruise Night

MT. VERNON, IL (KFVS) -

Drivers of General Motors vehicles including Buicks, Olds, Pontiacs, and orphan cars are invited to attend Friday's Cruise Night, hosted by the Kingsmen Auto Club of Mt. Vernon.  

It will be held at the Rend Lake College Marketplace.  

The September 4th event begins at 6 pm in the east parking lot.  

All classic and show cars are invited to attend, but only GM and orphan vehicles will be eligible to win a drawing for the Featured Car plaque.  

Cruise Night is free to the public and ends at 9 pm.  

There will be prizes and a 50/50 drawing.  

There will also be free refreshments, live music, and more.  

October is the last Cruise Night of 2015 and will feature Chevrolets (1958 and newer) and Corvettes.  

Cruise Nights are held from 6-9 pm on the first Friday of every month from April to October.  To learn more, call Jim Hutchison at 618-244-7711 or 618-242-6279.
