MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A driver was injured after a rollover crash on Said Road, near By-Pass Road, in McCracken County on Monday, Aug. 31.

At about 5:30 p.m., McCracken County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene.

They say 54-year-old Thomas Byars, of Symsonia, Ky., was going north on Said Road approaching the intersection of By-Pass Road.

After topping a small rise in the road, and for unknown reasons, deputies say Byars lost control of his 2005 Cadillac and crossed the center line. Byars left the southbound side of the road, re-entered and then exited the northbound side of the road.

After re-entering the road a second time, deputies say Byars' car began to roll numerous times before crossing the center line and coming to a final rest in the southbound road ditch.

Byars was removed from car by the Reidland-Farley Fire Department and taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Deputies say Said Road was closed for about 1.5 hours for the investigation and clean-up.
