Two arrested in connection to apparent drug overdose death

A man and a woman from Cadiz, Kentucky are behind bars in connection to a death investigation.

According to Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam, a Cadiz man died early this morning of an apparent drug overdose.

A man and woman were arrested in connection to that man’s death. Their names have not been released.

Sheriff Burnam said the pair will face several charges including trafficking in controlled substance (Fentanyl), possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl), theft of a controlled substance (Fentanyl), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The sheriff said more arrests are pending in connection to the case.

Deputies are also looking for another Fentanyl patch that may be connected to the case and are asking for help from the public. Sheriff Burnam asked that if you see a Fentanyl patch, call them immediately at (270) 350-3815 or (270) 522-8888. Burnam said that anyone that sees a patch should leave it alone because just touching it could give you a dose of the drug.
