First Alert Weather: Gradual move towards 'normal' summer temps today; little to no chance of rain

Good morning! It's Aug. 28, 2015.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Expect another nice morning to start your Friday, but with more fog because of an uptick in humidity. And Brian’s First Alert Forecast says that will be the trend for the weekend: a little more heat and a little more humidity every day. Brian McCormick has the StormTracker out this morning at the Du Quoin State Fair. He’ll have your Fair Forecast and look ahead to what to expect for Football Friday.

Making Headlines:

Campus Shooting: The shooting that put the Savannah State University campus on lockdown late Thursday night has now turned fatal. The student who was shot died from his injuries early Friday morning.

Under investigation: A body has been found in the trunk of a car in rural Butler County, Missouri. The sheriff suspects foul play.

Fair Day: The Du Quoin State Fair kicks off with KFVS12 Day. Some of the news team will be at the fair to say hello. Starting at 4 p.m. the carnival rides will start and the annual parade starts at 6 p.m.

New Opportunities: With the chance for more than 300 people to lose their jobs completely in Wickliffe, Ky., an Illinois company is looking to lend a hand by hosting a job fair. This comes after Verso announced the paper mill in town will stall production indefinitely come October.
