KY woman sent to hospital after hitting deer with car

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Kentucky woman was sent to the hospital after a car crash involving a deer.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury accident on Blandville Road (US 62) between Gholson and Fisher Road around 9:20 a.m. Thursday morning.

Tamara Owens, 32, of Arlington, was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima when she struck a deer crossing the roadway.

Owens was transported by Mercy EMS to Baptist Health due to minor injuries.

Blandville Road was restricted to one lane for approximately 45 minutes.
