Carrier Mills man sentenced to 18 years in prison for home invasion

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Carrier Mills, Illinois man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for home invasion.

Carl E. Campbell, 52, was sentenced on Aug. 26 to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, three years of mandatory supervised release and costs after he was found guilty of home invasion.

The Harrisburg and Carrier Mills Police Departments led a joint investigation.

On April 19, Campbell broke into homes in Harrisburg and Carrier Mills, Ill. while armed with a knife. He stole various amounts of money and miscellaneous items while each of the homeowners were present.

Assistant State's Attorney Jason A. Olson led the prosecution.
