Gov. Nixon visits Mineral Area College

PARK HILLS, MO (KFVS) -

In a continuing effort to improve the infrastructure of public universities in Missouri, Gov. Jay Nixon visited Mineral Area College in Park Hills with $1.8 million in tow to make necessary improvements and renovations to the campus.

These improvements are made through the Building Affordability initiative which was passed this year with bi-partisan support in the General Assembly. $200 million have been set aside to invest in repairs at colleges and universities across the state without raising tuition to cover costs.

]The improvements at Mineral Area will include renovations at the Arts &Science Building, North College Center, the Fire Academy, Sechrest Field House, and at other academic buildings throughout the campus.
