2 Dresden, TN men accused of drug possession after searches

WEAKLEY COUNTY, TN (KFVS) -

Two Dresden, Tenn. men are accused of drug possession.

James Michael Cherry, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kyle Wayne Riley, 26, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of drugs into the county jail.

According to Captain Randall McGowan of the Weakley County Sheriff's Department, on Monday, Aug. 24, investigators from the sheriff's department and officers from the Dresden Police Department executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Park Street in Dresden.

They arrested Cherry for the possession charges.

Capt. McGowan said a search warrant was then executed in the 400 block of West Park Street in Dresden and Riley was arrested on the possession charges.

McGowan said the introduction charge on Riley came after hydrocodone pills were allegedly found on him inside the jail.
