No council decision reached in fate of Mounds police chief

MOUNDS, IL (KFVS) -

On Monday evening, the Mounds City Council spent more than an hour in closed session discussing "personnel matters" and failed to take any action regarding whether the city will bring Police Chief Lloyd Bosecker back to work.

Bosecker is currently on paid administrative leave following his involvement in a fight at Club 37 in Olmsted on August 1.

Mounds Mayor Rita Flummer said the council is waiting to receive more information about the incident before they'll make a decision on the matter.

The mayor said that new information could be available as early as Wednesday.

Heartland News has requested information including video evidence from the Illinois State Police, but has been denied because the investigation is considered ongoing.

This story is developing.
