Carbondale sentenced to 3 years for gas station robbery

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

A Carbondale man was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections after pleaded guilty to robbery.

Quovadis D. Myers, 18, was sentenced three years in the Department of Corrections, followed by two years of mandatory supervised release.

On June 5, 2015, Myers and two others, met and planned a robbery at the Citgo Station on South Illinois Avenue in Carbondale, according to Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael C. Carr. 

While one person stood outside as a look-out, Myers and another entered the business and went behind the counter. Myers punched the clerk, knocking him to the ground, while the second person took the cash register drawer and its contents.

The other two involved entered pleas of guilty earlier this year.
