Kennett City fire marshal suspended without pay

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

The Kennett City Fire Marshal has been suspended 30 days without pay.

According to Kennett City Attorney Terry McVey, Scott Tutor is still currently with the fire department. He was moved from captain to apparatus operator.

McVey said the city council made the decision by a vote of 7-0 at a closed meeting on Tuesday.

According to McVey, Scott Tutor is facing stealing charges. He allegedly stole a camera flash from an area store.

He is due in court on Sept. 9.

The city put him on probation for one year.
