According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, a Poplar Bluff School District staff member reported seeing a white male dressed in black run west (away from the campus) across Business Hwy 67 at Harper St.

The initial report suggested that the subject may have been carrying a weapon of some sort.

For safety reasons, the high school and kindergarten center went on lockdown.

School is back on schedule, and everyone is safe.
