KSP Post 1 joins effort to crackdown on drunk driving

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) -

The Kentucky State Police, Post 1 based in Mayfield, is joining with law enforcement throughout the nation for the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

The comprehensive effort to curb impaired driving runs August 21-September 7 and will include high-visibility enforcement during the Labor Day Holiday.

Troopers hope the campaign will serve as a reminder that those who choose to drink should never get behind the wheel, but for those who do choose to drive while drunk, officers say they will be arrested.  No warnings. No excuses.
