First Alert Weather: Warm and humid today, chance of showers later

First Alert Weather Outlook:

It maybe quiet, but expect it to be warm and humid as you head out the door this morning. Brian’s First Alert Forecast shows a decent chance of pop up showers in parts of the Heartland, so you may need your umbrella by the time the kids are on their way home from school.

Making headlines:

Investigation continues: Rescue officials say a search plane has spotted the wreckage of an Indonesian passenger plane that went missing with 54 people onboard. Investigators are still searching to find survivors from the crash.

Body found: Authorities say they found the body of a man who went missing last week while kayaking on the Current River. The body of Russ O'Neal, 50, was found in the river approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Stabbed to death: Actor Morgan Freeman’s 33-year-old step-granddaughter was stabbed to death in New York City. NYPD said a 30-year-old man was taken into custody and then taken to a nearby hospital as well.

What's trending:
