Cape Girardeau police arrest man after early morning pursuit

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department they have arrested a man suspected of receiving stolen property, after he ran from officers Sunday morning. 

Police say they arrested Kyle Madden around 3 p.m. after they found him hiding in a residence.

Officials say Madden had a warrant out for his arrest for receiving stolen property, including a car reported missing out of Cape Girardeau County.  

Madden ran from police around the intersection of Independence and West End Blvd. late Sunday morning.

Police searched through homes, alleys, and streets around the areas of Hanover Street from William Street to Bloomfield Street. 

Madden was taken to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, where he is in custody.

He is currently awaiting charges.
