1 killed, 4 injured in Madison Co. single-vehicle crash

MADISON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

One person was killed in a single-car accident that injured four others early Saturday morning on Route A in Madison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a a 2009 Honda Civic, driven by Jennifer C. Reubel, 37, of Ferguson, Mo., traveled off the right side of the roadway at approximately 10:20 a.m.

That's when the vehicle overturned.

Officials say Joshua D. Moore, 36, of Florissant, Mo., was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Reubel was injured, as well as Makenzie C. Reubel, 6, Landon Reubel, 3, both also from Ferguson, and Amanda M. Murray, 29, from St. Louis, Mo.

Both Makenzie and Landon were airlifted to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis with moderate to severe injuries.

Jennifer and Amanda were taken by ambulance to Parkland Medical Center in Farmington, Mo. with moderate injuries.

The official report from the MSHP says Moore was the only passenger not wearing a seat belt.
