First Alert Bus Stop Forecast: dry today, less humidity

It is Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Good news for all those headed back to school today! It'll be a pleasant walk to the bus stop. Brian’s First Alert Forecast says it will still be humid when you walk out the door this morning, but by this afternoon the humidity will be down, and we can expect to dry out over the next few days.

Making Headlines:

Searching for answers: Authorities located the wreckage of a small airplane in the Shawnee National Forest, but no survivors were found. An investigator with the National Transportation Safety Administration will be in town on Tuesday figure out what could've caused the crash.

Protests continue: Police arrested more than a dozen people in Ferguson after protesters blocked traffic during a fourth consecutive night of demonstrations. It marks the anniversary of the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Wanted: The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is  is looking for two men believed to have been shooting at each other during an incident in late-July.

Headed to court: The criminal case against three former high-ranking Penn State administrators is headed to a Pennsylvania appellate courtroom. This comes nearly four years after charges were filed for an alleged cover-up of child sex abuse complaints against Jerry Sandusky.
