Overnight storms cause damage in Washington Co. Illinois

Serious weather damage is being reported in Washington County Illinois.

That storm blew through the area of Hoyleton, Illinois just between 11:00 p.m. and midnight Sunday.

The National Weather Service says storms knocked down trees and power lines, and damaged homes and businesses in Hoyleton.

Washington County dispatchers say there is still a lot of debris on the roads, especially on East Main Street in Hoyleton, which is State Highway 177.

Highway 177 will be closed to traffic on 177 crews can get that debris cleaned up.

Power outages are also prevalent in that area.

So far, no injuries have been reported.
