CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Former Southern Illinois University student-athlete MyCole Pruitt scored the first touchdown of the 2015 NFL preseason.

Pruitt, now a back-up tight end for the Minnesota Vikings, entered the preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second quarter. Pruitt ran an out route on first down and ten. He was left open in the flat. Vikings quarterback Mike Kafka hit Pruitt with a 34-yard pass and the former Saluki ran untouched into the end zone.

Minnesota went on to win 14-3.

The Vikings picked up Pruitt in the 5th round of the 2015 draft.
