The Vietnam Veterans Memorial traveling wall will be making a stop in Dexter, Missouri on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8-9.
Just like the memorial wall in Washington, D.C., this wall contains more than 58,000 names of servicemen who died during the Vietnam War.
Dexter City Administrator, Mark Stidham, said it's an overdue honor.
"Vietnam War was something that was controversial back in the day, but we lost a lot of good men and a lot of good soldiers," he said. "This is in their honor and we want to bring it for the family members, that way they could come and see the names."
The wall will be in East Park in Dexter until Sunday. That's when a ceremony will be held at the wall at 2 p.m. to remember the soldiers, airmen and marines who lost their lives.
