Former store manager accused of taking money from business

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

A northern Illinois man is accused of theft from a store where he was employed.

Nuri Jusuf, 37, was charged with theft over $300.

According to Murphysboro police, on Aug. 6 they received information from Rural King in Murphysboro about an employee theft.

After an investigation by Rural King and the police department, police say Jusuf, the store manager, allegedly took cash deposits from the store and left the area.

Rural King immediately fired Jusuf.

Police say the case is being presented to Jackson County State's Attorney Mike Carr for review and request of an arrest warrant on theft-related charges.
