First Alert: Tracking storms on southwestern edge of the Heartland; possible thunderstorms later

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Be on the lookout for patches of fog this morning on your way to work. Brian’s First Alert Forecast says it’ll be a warm, partly cloudy Friday, and pretty quiet. But if you live in southeast Missouri you may see some thunderstorms this afternoon.

Making Headlines:

Manhunt: Authorities are searching for a man and woman in southern Reynolds County after they led police on a chase, crashed their vehicle and took off on foot.

Severe Weather: At least five people were injured during a strong storm that moved through Troy, Al. The storm produced a possible tornado that caused significant damage to the Walmart shopping center there.

Plague caution: Visitors at Yosemite National Park are being extra-cautious after a child caught the plague during a camping trip there. It's the first case of human plague in California since 2006.

GOP Jolt: Donald Trump left left his onstage rivals scrambling to compete for attention during the first Republican debate of the 2016 campaign.
