Arts festival to be held in Pinckneyville

PINCKNEYVILLE, IL (KFVS) -

The second annual Hearts for Arts festival will be held at the Pinckneyville City Park on Saturday, August 8.

The event will raise money for the Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center.

The festival will feature food vendors, art, craft and re-purposed item vendors, art displays and demonstrations, a quilt raffle, music and dancing, face painting for kids, and lots of other entertainment.

The “Chalk the Walk” sidewalk chalk competition will begin at 4 p.m. and is open to adults, kids, and teams. It costs $10 to enter and your entry fee will pay for a 30 count box of chalk. There are cash prizes for the winners.

Parking and admission to the festival is free.

It is set to begin at 4 p.m. at the northeast end of the park near the Lion’s Club Pavilion.
