Mayfield woman cited on DUI, multiple other charges

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Graves County, Kentucky woman is facing multiple charges, including DUI.

Anita Curtsinger, 48, of Mayfield, was cited for charges of leaving the scene of a crash, failure to notify DOT of address change, no insurance, DUI-first, two counts of possession of a controlled substance third degree, possession of a controlled substance first degree meth and prescription controlled substance not proper container first.

According to Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, on Aug. 5 at about 7:14 p.m., deputies responded to KY 80 East at the 16 mile marker for a crash. He said the driver had left the scene.

Deputies say a description was given of the vehicle. They say it was speeding, headed toward Murray when they found the vehicle and pulled it over.

The driver was identified as Curtsinger. Deputies say she was given SFST tests and arrested for DUI.

Deputies conducted a search and say they found pills not in their proper container and a clear baggie with suspected meth inside.

Curtsinger was taken to an area hospital where she consented to a blood test. During that time, deputies say she told them of a possible overdose from the drug usage.
