Two men face charges after police say remnants of Molotov cocktails were found at two off-duty police officers' homes.

Du Quoin Police Chief Jamie Ellermeyer says police were called to East Cole Street at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday.

An officer who was off duty heard a noise from the front his home and saw fire shooting from behind his squad car in his driveway. He was able to move the car away from the fire.

After that happened, the police chief called all off duty officers to check on them.

One officer found the same thing happened to him.

Both squad cars had minimal damage.
