McCracken Co. officials arrest man after foot pursuit

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Officials in Kentucky were able to arrest a man with several bench warrants after short pursuit.

On Wednesday, McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies began looking into the whereabouts of Jerry L Peck, 37, of Paducah. 

Peck had two outstanding warrants for failure to appear on previous misdemeanor and felony charges, as well as a probation violation warrant from McCracken County Circuit Court.

At 5:25 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies went to 140 Bridge Court in Paducah in the attempt to locate Peck. 

As deputies approached the home, Peck ran away. 

He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit that ended near Irvin Cobb Drive. 

Peck was arrested on charges of fleeing or evading police (second degree), two bench warrants for failing to appear in a McCracken County Circuit Court, and a bench warrant for violating probation.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted on the scene by the Paducah Police Department.
