KY man arrested for encouraging murder of police officers

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (KFVS) -

Kentucky State Police have arrested a Hopkinsville man on charges of solicitation for murder of a police officer. 

Troopers arrested Marvin Gee, 44, of Hopkinsville, on Friday, after he posted a listing on Craigslist soliciting, and encouraging, people in the community to start killing police officers.

Gee was lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Trooper Sean Wint is continuing the investigation. 

Lieutenant Jason Newby, Trooper Billy Over, and the Hopkinsville Police Department assisted with the arrest.
