MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded to an injury accident in the 4100 block of Metropolis Lake Road Saturday.

Upon arrival to the scene, deputies found that Michael Nance, 35, from Paducah, was operating a white 1998 Dodge Durango, northbound on Metropolis Lake Road around 11:30 a.m.

Officials say when Nance looked down towards his stereo, he left the roadway on the west side, causing his vehicle to enter a ditch.

Nance then struck a driveway culvert, causing his vehicle to become airborne and land on the roof of another car before coming to rest in a driveway behind the vehicle that he had landed on.

The other vehicle that was struck by Nance was a white 2007 Lincoln Town Car that was being operated by Glenn Driver, 75, from Paducah.

The vehicle was also occupied by Driver’s wife, Vivian, 77, also from Paducah.

Driver had been parked in the driveway waiting for traffic to clear to travel south bound on Mayfield Metropolis Road when they were stuck.

The Drivers were treated and  transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Lourdes hospital for possible injuries.

Nance was not injured in the collision.

The McCracken County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and the West McCracken Fire Department.

Traffic on Mayfield Metropolis Road was restricted to one lane for approximately one and a half hours for the investigation and clean-up of this collision.
