Reward offered for information on Herrin homicide investigation

HERRIN, IL (KFVS) -

The Herrin Police Department is asking for the public's help in a homicide investigation.

Police say any information on the death of Dana Kind that leads to an arrest may make the caller eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. This reward is being offered by the Williamson County Crime Stoppers.

Callers are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-414-TIPS (8477) or the Herrin Police Department at 618-942-4132.

Dana Kind, 52, was found in the 500 block of South 24th Street. Police say it appeared he had been hit by a vehicle.

Kind was transferred to a St. Louis hospital where his brother said he died a few days later.
