Carbondale man accused of burglary

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

A Carbondale, Illinois man has been arrested in connection with a burglary investigation.

Anthony E. Snooks, 25, was charged with two counts of residential burglary, auto burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of stolen property.

According to Carbondale police, on July 26 at about 4:11 a.m., they responded to the 400 block of West Mill Street for a report of a trespassing in progress.

Police say the victim woke up and discovered someone in his home. The victim confronted the suspect, who then allegedly ran from the home with stolen property.

Officers found the suspect, identified as Snooks, and said he had stolen property from two homes and a vehicle. He also allegedly had a stun gun.

Snooks was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
