Baptist Health Paducah offers health clinics in area schools

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

New clinics offered by Baptist Health and Four Rivers Behavioral Health will open on the first day of school at McCracken County High School and Paducah Tilghman High School, as well as Health mental/behavioral health, with no appointments needed.

Their purpose is to provide convenient, accessible care to meet the needs of busy families and to help reduce school absences.

A nurse practitioner and certified behavioral health counselor will be on-site every school day to provide the following services:

  • School and sports physicals
  • Minor injuries and illness care
  • Vaccinations
  • Behavioral healthcare
  • Substance abuse counseling

The clinics include:

  • McCracken County High School: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. outside entrance at the front of the school, interior entrance just across from the gym down the hall from the main office.
  • Paducah Tilghman High School: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., second floor
  • Heath: 8 to 11 a.m, near main entrance of Heath Middle School, serving Heath Elementary and Open Campus students, too.

The clinics accept all major health care insurance plans and will bill for co-payments and self-patients. For security reasons, no money will be collected at the clinics.

All students under 18 must have a signed consent form on file at the clinic, those forms will be available at registration and on the school websites.
