COBDEN, IL (KFVS) - Peach season is in full swing, and this week we head to the hills of Cobden, Illinois to spend some time in the kitchen with a Heartland Cook that knows a thing or two about peaches. Emily Garner's family owns Flamm Orchards and she's tried out plenty of peach recipes. This is among her favorites. Emily says this easy, no-bake Fresh Peach Trifle recipe is a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • Pre-baked Angel Food Cake
  • 7 – 8 Peaches (peeled and sliced)
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 2 cups Vanilla Yogurt

Directions:

Dice baked and cooled angel food cake into one-inch cubes.

Pour lemon juice over sliced peaches and stir to coat.

Puree one cup of sliced peaches in a blender until smooth.

Pour pureed peaches into a large bowl and add two cups of vanilla yogurt and lemon zest. Mix until well combined.

Set aside six peach slices for a garnish.

Layer ingredients in trifle bowl in the following order: angel food cake, sliced peaches, puree. Repeat until all ingredients are used.

Garnish with three raspberries and a mint sprig.
