Pedestrian hit by car, killed in Graves Co.

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) -

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports that a Mayfield man was struck by a car and killed Thursday morning.

The investigation shows that Dennis Ray Rice, 27, of Mayfield, was standing in the middle of KY 131 in the 3000 block just before sunrise.

He was struck by a truck traveling southbound.

The driver of the truck stated that it was raining hard and he did not see Rice.

Rice was pronounced dead at the scene by Graves County Coroner Phillip McClain.

The Sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by The Graves County Coroner and the Clear Springs Fire Department.
