Murray, KY man arrested, charged with wanton endangerment

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

Authorities in Kentucky arrested a man who allegedly was attempting to light a mobile home on fire while he was inside.

On Tuesday at approximately 1:15 p.m. Murray Police officers responded to the Riviera Courts mobile home park in Murray for a report of a man attempting to light a mobile home on fire.

Also responding were Calloway County Sheriff’s Deputies, Kentucky State Police, Murray Fire Department, and Murray-Calloway County EMS.

Upon arrival, officers encountered Jimmy Williams, 43, of Murray.

Williams had barricaded himself in the trailer and poured fuel throughout the residence.

After speaking to Williams for nearly an hour, officers were able to take him in to custody without the trailer being ignited or anyone being harmed by him.

Williams was charged with Wanton Endangerment and lodged at the Calloway County Jail.
