CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Dozens of teachers got a lesson in the newest classroom technology on Tuesday, July 21.
The Southeast Education Technology Conference was held on Southeast Missouri State University campus.
The teachers and administrators were able to learn first-hand about the technology that they will use in classrooms in the near future.
Most participants teach middle or high school students.
Stephanie Kuper, instructional technology specialist, said teachers must get a grasp of technology for their students' sake.
"Technology is transforming our world and if education doesn't happen with technology as well, then we're going to get left behind. We're not gonna be preparing kids for a future that they're going to be thrown into," she said.
This is the second year for this particular conference.
