Driver injured after semi crash on State Rte. 94 in Graves Co.

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A man was injured in a crash in Graves County, Kentucky at around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21.

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said deputies were dispatched to 6880 State Route 94 W between Pilot Oak and Water Valley.

They say Jimmy Gills, 63, of Sedalia, was driving a semi and trailer owned by Clark Farm of Lynnville eastbound on KY 94. Gills had a medical emergency, lost consciousness, left the road on the right side, crossed the road to the left side, drove through a yard and hit an earth embankment.

Gills was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Mayfield/Graves EMS, Mayfield Fire Department, Water Valley Fire Department and Burl's Towing.
