Two new names and one advancement at Baptist Health

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Dr Michael Faulkner and Scott Leckey are two new names at Baptist Health while Kim Wrye is promoted to the be the new director of Quality.

Cardiologist Michael Faulkner, MD, has recently joined the medical staff at Baptist Health Paducah. He joins a medical staff of approximately 265 physicians, representing 43 medical specialties. Dr. Faulkner is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and structural heart disease and peripheral vascular intervention at the University of Kentucky.

Scott P. Leckey, CPA, was recently named Baptist Health Vice President of Finance for the West Region, including Baptist Health Madisonville and Baptist Health Paducah.Leckey has more than 20 years’ experience in health care finance, including hospitals in California and Hawaii before joining Banner Health in Phoenix, Ariz., in 2010.He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as a board member for Chamber of Commerce and Habitat for Humanity organizations.Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University.

Kim Wrye has been named the new director of Quality for Baptist Health Paducah. Wrye has served Baptist Health Paducah in a variety of roles since starting as a radiologic technologist in 1983. She has worked in the Quality department 12 years, including the last five as coordinator. Previously, she served 10 years as the cath lab quality improvement coordinator, followed by education instructor and case management outcomes manager. She holds bachelor’s degrees in technical careers and in health care management from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Murray State University. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
