You'll definitely feel that hot and humid weather when you walk out the door this morning, and expect it to crank on up through the weekend. Making Headlines:

Fiery crash: I-55 northbound near Scott City was shut down for several hours after a collision between a car going the wrong way on I-55 northbound. The fiery incident killed one and sent two others to the hospital.

Homicide investigation: The death of a 52-year-old Herrin, Il. man is being investigated as a homicide after a medical examiner says he died from blunt force trauma. Right now, though, they cannot confirm if the man was hit by a vehicle or something else.

Looking for answers: Authorities are trying to figure out whether an attack on a military recruiting center and another U.S. military site in Chattanooga was an act of terrorism. The man who killed four marines had not been on the radar of federal authorities until the bloodshed.
