Annual duck blind drawing, registration Aug. 15 at Wappapello Lake

LAKE WAPPAPELLO, MO (KFVS) -

Calling all Missouri duck hunters!

The annual duck blind drawing and registration will be held August 15, at 1 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitors Center at Wappapello Lake.

Anyone who wants to put a floating blind on the lake must be signed up before 1 p.m. If you miss that, you'll have to wait until the drawing and placement process has concluded.

Blinds are the responsibility of the hunter and must meet the "Minimum Standards for Floating Duck Blinds."

The registration fee for a duck blind is $15 and you must bring cash in the exact amount or a personal check or money order may payable to "FAO, USACE, St. Louis District."

Applications can be picked up at the Wappapello Lake Project Office.

Permitted blinds may be placed on the lake after Labor Day and must be removed or transferred to the storage cove within two weeks of the close of the zoned duck season.
