Southern Illinois College hosts paper shred event

HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) -

Southern Illinois College will be hosting a paper shredding event with Piranha Mobile Shredding. 

The event will be taking place on July 22 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Harrisburg campus located at 3575 College Road. 

Each business or person is limited to 100 pounds. 

Papers brought in can be stapled, rubber banded, etc. Newspapers, magazines and phone books will not be collected. 

The paper will not be shredded during the event, but will be collected and later securely processed by Piranha. 

To mitigate traffic, those who plan on attending the event are asked to enter Southern Illinois College from the north entrance off Muddy Road. 

Paper may be dropped off on the lower level of the North C Parking Lot. 

There is no charge to participate in this event.
