MARION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The new Marion VA Mental Health Center will celebrate a grand opening on July 23.
The celebration will include a ribbon cutting and open house at 9:30 a.m.
Construction is now finished on the $8.3 million mental health building, which started in January 2014. At just under 26,000 square feet, the two-story Center for Behavioral Health will be the new home to more than 60 mental health staff providing care for veterans and their families.
The building includes several therapy offices, group homes and waiting areas. It will include wireless internet and furniture with charging stations for electronics.
