Little Egypt Arts Association hosts show, competition

MARION, IL (KFVS) -

The Little Egypt Arts Association's latest exhibit is called "Anything Goes."

Members from LEAA will display an eclectic mixture of pieces including jewelry, photography, paintings, fiber art and more.

The show will take place at the Arts Centre on the downtown square in Marion from now until August 15.

The Arts Centre hours are Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m..

Also, the 6th annual photo invitational competition is now taking entries.

The competition is open to all photographers including the young ones.

This year there will be a new youth category.

The competition show will be displayed on the walls of the Arts Centre from August 17 through September 27 and cash awards will be presented to the winners.

There will be an awards ceremony and reception on September 27 from 2 to 4 p.m.
