MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Marshall County officials have arrested a woman after she allegedly fired a weapon at her husband.

On Wednesday, Marshall Co. sheriff's deputies reported to a home on Rocky Point Lane, in reference to a disturbance involving a firearm.

Upon arrival Deputy Maxlow spoke with Lisa Bengtzen, 40, of Gilbertsville, who said she and her husband had an argument.

Bengtzen admitted that she fired two rounds at her husband because she thought he was going to harm her.

The victim said that during their argument, Bengtzen pointed the pistol at him and fired two rounds that missed his head.

The victim also told the deputies that Bengtzen said that she was going to kill him, before she shot at him.

Bengtzen then allegedly picked the pistol up and placed one casing and the pistol in the gun safe, and the other casing and holster was located in the bathroom closet.

Bengtzen was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
