MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A McCraken County woman was arrested on Monday, July 13 for allegedly forging prescriptions.

Teresa Kenney, 53, of the 200 block of South Friendship Road, was arrested for three counts of forgery of a prescription for the controlled substance Adderall. Detective John Tolliver, the Paducah Police Department’s prescription drug investigator said Kenney was previously convicted of prescription drug offenses in McCracken County.

Tolliver was contacted by a local pharmacy after it received a prescription for the Schedule 2 stimulant, Adderall that a pharmacist believed had been altered.

Detective Tolliver found two additional prescriptions that appeared to have been altered. Each of the three prescriptions had been attempted to be filled at three different pharmacies within a month of each other.

A McCracken County grand jury charged Kenney with three accounts of forgery of a prescription for a controlled substance. She was arrested Monday afternoon and taken to McCracken County Regional Jail.
